Abstract Online surveys, whether they are delivered in a pop-up, web page or email, have proven an invaluable tool for reaching the right customers effectively. But, the full range of benefits of using the web for research - as well as its scope- is only just emerging. Brands agree that, as a result, more of their consumer studies will find their way online. According to a survey to be published this month by research specialist Ciao UK, 87% of a panel of 260 market researchers said they expect their use of online research to increase. the advantages of fast turnaround and lower costs, there are deeper benefits such as the ability to deliver multimedia to respondents seamlessly. Experts argue that there are benefits in conducting consumer research online that extend outside its reach and technical characteristics.
